World 1 (2022)

World 1 questions the societal space surrounding desensitization, specifically regarding climate change, and the role escapism plays in this situation. Due to consistent exposure to bad news about environmental degradation and the constant flow of other negative world events, we have found that the majority of people have become desensitized to these issues. This piece explores the consequences of continual escapism from the bigger problems and the loop of disconnect created by the inaction.
