Hello! My name is Staff Sergeant Ryan Nolan, I am one of the enlisted active duty Air Force recruiters for the Flint area. I have been in the Air Force for 10 years and have been stationed in New Mexico, South Korea and Illinois and now I am back home in my home state of Michigan. Prior to becoming a recruiter I was in the Civil Engineering career field where I worked on Interior plumbing, Exterior plumbing and fuel systems for fueling aircraft.
When I graduated from Truman High School back in 2010, I was weighing my options between going to College or joining the Air Force to pay for my college tuition. I am very glad I choose the Air Force route since I have already completed 2 Associates degree’s and I am currently working on my bachelor’s in Computer Science. I understand the hard choice a lot of people have to make between going to college or starting a career, luckily with the Air Force you can do both at the same time. You can earn credited on the job training while going to school on your own time and have it 100% paid for by the Air Force.
I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the Air Force and possibly help you in making a decision in what you want to do in life!
Integrity is the willingness to do what is right even when no one else is looking. It is the "moral compass"the inner voice, the voice of self-control, the basis for the trust imperative in today's Air Force.
Service before self means taking the time and making the effort to properly plan and execute with precision regardless of the personal costs.
Always strive to meet or exceed standards objectively based on mission needs and continuously search for new and innovative ways to successfully accomplish the mission.
