A Michigan native and graduate of the University of Michigan, Mike has served independent schools for the entirety of his 33 year professional life, 17 of those years in ISACS schools. Mike began his career as a classroom teacher at the Isidore Newman School in New Orleans before becoming the Middle School Division Director at Lake Forest Country Day School. In 2007, Mike was elected Head of Forsyth School in St. Louis, which he led for 10 years. Throughout his years in school leadership, Mike chaired visiting accreditation teams, served on the ISACS Accreditation Review Committee, mentored heads in the ISACS New Heads Network, and was president of the board of the Independent Schools of St. Louis.
After a year as Interim Head at Peoria Academy, Mike moved into consulting and has worked for the last 5 years supporting independent schools in strategic planning, leadership search, enrollment and marketing review and executive coaching.
