Venue & Travel

By train:

Arrive at one of the following train stations: Milano Centrale, Cadorna, Porta Garibaldi, Lambrate, or Rogoredo. Then proceed by public transportation (please, move to the dedicated section below). 

By plain:

Arrive at Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP). From Milan Malpensa Airport, take the Malpensa Express train towards Milano Cadorna (approx. 45 minutes) or Milano Centrale (approx. 1 hour). Then proceed by public transportation (please, move to the dedicated section below). 

Arrive at Milan Linate Airport (LIN). From Milan Linate, take Metro Line 4 (MM4 , Blue Line) towards San Cristoforo. Get off at San Babila station (seventh stop). Then take Metro Line 1 (MM1, Red Line) towards Sesto 1° Maggio. Get off at Loreto station (fourth stop). Finally, take Metro Line 2 (MM2, Green Line) towards Cologno Nord/Gessate /Cascina Gobba. Get off at Piola station (first stop). Then continue on foot (3 minutes).

Arrive at Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport (BGY). From Bergamo Orio al Serio, take an airport shuttle bus (e.g., Orio Shuttle, Autostradale, or Terravision) to Milano Centrale railway station (approx. 1 hour). Then proceed by public transportation (please, move to the dedicated section below). 

By public transport from Milan’s main railway stations:

From Milano Centrale: take Metro Line 2 (MM2, Green Line) towards Cologno Nord/Gessate/Cascina Gobba. Get off at Piola station (third stop). Then continue on foot (3 minutes).

From Milano Cadorna: take Metro Line 2 (MM2, Green Line) towards Cologno Nord/Gessate/Cascina Gobba. Get off at Piola station (eighth stop). Then continue on foot (3 minutes).

From Milano Porta Garibaldi: take Metro Line 2 (MM2, Green Line) towards Cologno Nord/Gessate/Cascina Gobba. Get off at Piola station (fifth stop). Then continue on foot (3 minutes).

From Milano Lambrate, you can choose one of the following options:

• take Metro Line 2 (MM2, Green Line) towards Assago/P.za Abbiategrasso. Get off at Piola station (first stop). Then continue on foot (3 minutes).

• take tram no. 19 (surface transport) towards P.za Castelli. Get off at P.za Leonardo da Vinci – Politecnico stop. Then continue on foot (less than 1 minute).

• continue on foot (10 - 15  minutes).

From Milano Rogoredo: take Metro Line 3 (MM3 – Yellow Line) towards Comasina. Get off at Milano Centrale station (twelfth stop). Then take Metro Line 2 (MM2, Green Line) towards Cologno Nord/Gessate/Cascina Gobba. Get off at Piola station (third stop). Then continue on foot (3 minutes).

By car:

Depending on your starting point, follow the directions below:

• From A1 (Bologna/Rome): Follow signs for Tangenziale Est (A51) towards North/Venezia. Take Exit 8 (Lambrate).

• From A4 (Turin/Venice) or A8 (Varese): Follow signs for Tangenziale Est (A51) towards South/Linate. Take Exit 8 (Lambrate).

• From A7 (Genoa): Follow signs for Tangenziale Ovest (A50) and then merge into Tangenziale Est (A51) towards North/Venezia. Take Exit 8 (Lambrate).

From Exit 8 (Lambrate): Follow the signs towards Milano Centro along Via Rombon and then Via Porpora until you reach Piazzale Piola. From there, follow the signs to Piazza Leonardo da Vinci, where the main University campus is located.

Important Notes:

• Access & Parking: Please note that Via Ampère 2 is located in a restricted/pedestrian area of the University campus; direct car access to the building is not possible. You can find paid street parking (Blue Lines) in Piazza Leonardo da Vinci or the surrounding streets (Via Bonardi, Via Pascal).

• Area B: The venue is inside Milan's Area B, a Low Emission Zone. Access is restricted for certain vehicle types from Monday to Friday (7:30 AM – 7:30 PM). Please, visit the Comune di Milano  website to know bans already in force.
