Bio

Simon S. Woo received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles/Information Sciences Institute (USC/ISI). He earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering degree (B.S.EE) from Univ. of Washington (UW), Seattle, and M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering degree (M.S.ECE) from Univ. of California, San Diego (UCSD). Currently,  he is an Associate Professor with the College of Computing and Informatics, Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), Suwon, South Korea. His research interests include Multimedia Forensics including deepfake detection, AI security, and anomaly detection. Before joining SKKU, he was a Member of Technical Staff for 9 years at the NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), Pasadena, CA. 

우사이먼성일 부교수는 서던캘리포니아대학교 로스앤젤레스/정보과학연구소(USC/ISI)에서 컴퓨터과학 박사학위를 취득했다. 시애틀 워싱턴대학교(UW)에서 전기공학 학사학위를, 캘리포니아대학교 샌디에이고 캠퍼스(UCSD)에서 전기컴퓨터공학 석사학위를 받았다. 현재 수원 소재 성균관대학교 소프트웨어학과 부교수로 재직하고 있다. 그의 주요 연구 분야는 딥페이크 탐지를 포함한 멀티미디어 포렌식, AI 보안, 이상 탐지이다. 성균관대학교 부임 이전에는 캘리포니아 패서디나에 위치한 NASA 제트추진연구소(JPL)에서 9년간 기술연구원으로 근무했다.
