FAQ

We meet the third Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm in the AHS Library or on Zoom. We hear a report from our principal, Mr. Barfield, go over finances, review upcoming events, talk through volunteer needs and logistics. We also discuss how we can best serve the school community such as planning an event for families, providing food or support for the community, etc. 

The library is a large room at AHS so younger children are welcome if they need to attend with you.

If you join on Zoom you can do that screen on or not. 

As much or little as you can give!

If you want to come to meetings or join us on Zoom, we meet from 6:30-7:30pm with occasional meetings going until 8:00pm if there is a lot on the agenda.

Most of our volunteer opportunities are dvided into one to two hour shifts of time and sometimes less. Some of our events are in the morning, some during the school day and some in the evening.

Some employers allow volunteer hours during the work day and we have had volunteers successfully help out at school by using this benefit.
