Join

Joining Austin High School Mountain Bike Team (AHS) has a few steps. This is because our team is an entity within Texas NICA and you will need to join both AHS and Texas NICA.

1. Review the AHS Team Handbook. You are expected to read, understand, and acknowledge this handbook. 

2. Review the NICA Handbook. You are expected to read, understand, and acknowledge this handbook.

3. Complete the AHS Team Rider information sheet. If more than one rider in the family, complete each rider separately. 

4. Pay the team fee of $295 (Paypal) (Venmo)

   • The team fee is per family. You will, however, need to purchase a jersey for each member of the family. 

5. Sign the team waiver. You will receive this document in a separate email from AdobeSign after you've paid the team fee. 

6. Once AHS has received the AdobeSign'd team waiver, we will send you an invitation Pitzone.

   • Register with NICA in PitZone. The final step within PitZone is to pay the $355 season fee to NICA Texas. Once paid, you're 'Ride Ready'.

7. Order your kit by November 6th. You MUST have a team jersey to participate at any of the NICA Texas weekends.

8. Install the TeamSnap App when the invite is received. This App is designed for riders and parents. You will be required to mark your attendance for each ride in TeamSnap. Everyone needs an email, if you athlete doesn't have an email, now is the time to get them one.
