This week we learned about the actual 3D design not the the 2.5D the design process was pretty similar and a lot of the skills that you learn in sketching carried on to the 3D design so it was arguably easier in my opinion
I used Fusion 360 mainly to create my designs and export an STL file used Prusa-slicer to slice my design and turn the STL file into a gcode
I used google images, instrucktables, and Pinterest for inspiration
i used prusa slicer to slice my 3D design and got the gcode so that i can print it on the 3D printer
i had a problem that after i made the design it was way too much for the quota but my peers gave me some tips to solve the problem
trying to make the petal part was kind of hard there were also the part where i had to do a circular pattern but it was fun
Now i know how would go about designing and fabricating my project model and i know the limitations of what i can create and the efficient techniques to make my designing process easier
The coolest thing this week was talking to some of the diploma's last round graduates. I learned about how they managed their time in the diploma, I got some pro tips from them, but the coolest thing was the different projects they did because some of them were simple but cool and effective some were hard to create, so I was inspired in all different ways
