My first goal is learning how to maintain relationships with my connectors. Meaning that I need to find ways to keep in contact with my connector so that will not forget about me.
To measure my process I can start by developing the certain dates I would like to contact them and write conversation starters and questions to continue on. This is achievable as I have the contact information for each of my connectors and I can check with them at any given time for anything. This is important for me to achieve as I am a college student wanting more insight on career fields available for me and for me to develop any new skills and experience. A social goal like this is timeless effort with someone to keep in contact with.
My second goal is building my vocabulary.
As this is goal I'm towards while I am in college and have 3 years to build. I can accomplish this goal by reading the books that my teachers advise us to buy and read more books towards the business aspect. This is achievable as I have access towards all the resources available for me to retain the resources needed such as a library and laptop to download any other books. This is important to me as I can learn to code switch to help different audiences understand what I am saying with using slang and adapting to professional settings. I can measure this goal by setting aside time to read through some of my book chapters and studying the word using flashcards to help me retain any information.
The third goal is taking on leadership responsibilities
I've found that I use fear to stop taking responsibility roles as to why this goal is relevant to me. I can achieve this goal by speaking up for myself whenever the team is slacking off. Helping pick up the slack and take something upon myself to do and ensure that people can trust and depend on me to perform well and take charge. I can measure this goal by making sure to manage my time correctly to be able to perform any work necessary for my team. The amount of time it will take for me to achieve this goal is 3 years in college or however long it will take me to complete college to learn to use my voice.
