Sprint Planning a meeting between the Development Team and the Product Owner to plan the Sprint and arrive at an agreement on the commitment. The Scrum Master facilitates the sprint planning meeting, which kicks off the Sprint, and which is attended by the Team Members and the Product Owner. The purpose of this meeting is to select from the Product Backlog those product backlog items (PBIs) the Team intends to implement in this Sprint.
A good time-box for a Sprint planning is 1 hour + 2 hours per week of the sprint with a maximum of 8 hours.
