As students progress through secondary school, their grades in N(T)-Level, N(A)-Level, and O-Level examinations determine the pathways available to them. Understanding how these grades convert across levels helps students assess their eligibility for further education, such as Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP), Direct-Entry Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP), or progression to O-Level studies.
These tables provide comparisons of how grades from N(T)-Level, N(A)-Level, and O-Level correspond to one another. It helps students gauge their academic standing when considering subject upgrades or transitions between streams/levels.
The Direct-Entry Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP) is a route that allows N(A)-Level students to enter a Higher Nitec course at the Institute of Technical Education (ITE), with a guaranteed pathway to polytechnic.
This table outlines the minimum grade requirements for DPP, helping students determine whether they qualify for this pathway.
The Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP) is a one-year programme for top-performing N(A)-Level students, allowing them to enter polytechnic without taking O-Levels.
