Aggieland Mariachi, also known as Mariachi Anillos de Oro was founded in the Fall of 2002 by students of Texas A&M University. Since then, we have had many members participate in the group that have contributed to the popularity of the student organization.
Our goal has been to expand from the Texas A&M campus and spread our name to the surrounding area of Bryan-college station. We hope that Aggieland Mariachi will be considered among the many traditions associated with Texas A&M University.
With the help from Alumni, we have been able to purchase uniforms and instruments in order to help spread and preserve the beautiful tradition of mariachi music at the collegiate level.
AGGIELAND MARIACHI
Starting in Fall 2025, Aggieland Mariachi has become an official class as a part of the University Orchestras of Texas A&M University. With this newfound standing on campus, our goal is to continue to share the beauty, pride, and tradition of mariachi music with our campus and community.
MARIACHI ANILLOS DE ORO
Entitled with the original name of the program, Mariachi Anillos de Oro is the varsity group of mariachi here at Texas A&M University. 'Anillos de Oro' translates to 'Rings of Gold', referencing the great Aggie Ring tradition.
