La Communauté Birmane de France (Myanmar)
The Burmese Community of France (CBF) is a non-profit organization in France that promotes human rights and democracy in Myanmar. Founded in 2004 by Burmese activists in Paris, CBF draws attention to ongoing human rights violations and the democracy movement in the country. We also organize actions to pressure Myanmar's military junta through boycotts, economic sanctions and awareness campaigns. CBF also celebrates Myanmar's diverse ethnicities through cultural events. After Myanmar's military seized power on 1st February 2021 by detaining State Counselor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, President U Win Myint and other civilian leaders from our democratically elected government, CBF has joined the global resistance against Myanmar's illegal military government until democracy and human rights are restored in the country. CBF stands with the people of Myanmar and the Committee representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), the legitimately elected civilian government of Myanmar.
