I strongly recommend enabling desktop view if you are on mobile or tablet.
This site includes guides for acquiring maximum gear in whatever situation you find yourself in (because things change a lot depending on what skills you have, what DLCs you own, and what order you play those DLCs in). Onboarding discusses important and useful skills and perks. Baskets & Containers is there if you're having trouble locating the aforementioned. Home pages for the different guides cover information that is specific to them.
I look forward to the inevitable overhaul that will have to happen once New Game+ and From the Ashes release!...
