In our Digital Literacy class on November 8, 2023, we had a talk about Google Sites and E-Portfolios. Mr. Limbong asked us questions about these tools. Even though our first answers were not very detailed, he encouraged us to look into it more on our own, teaching us the importance of learning by ourselves.
We learned that Google Sites is a handy tool to make websites without needing to code. It can also be used as a place to keep your e-portfolio. It's easy to use and share. On the other hand, an e-portfolio is like a collection of digital things that show what you've learned and how you've grown over time. It can have different types of things like documents, presentations, videos, audio, pictures, and reflections.
One big difference is that Google Sites is more flexible and customizable. You can make many pages, change the design, and more. E-portfolios are more focused, following a specific format to show a set of things related to a topic or course.
We also did a reflection exercise in class. We had to remember and talk about what we learned from meetings 1 to 13 without using notes or phones. This helped us see if we really understood and remembered what we learned in the course.
