TSgt Sabrina Howard

My name is Marcus Walker and I was born in Philadelphia, PA on 8/17/1991. I grew up as an Army brat, so I have been around the United States, but mostly El Paso, TX.

I graduated High School June 2009 and enrolled into University of Texas at El Paso. I completed my first semester, but due to my grades my college education had to be put on pause. I moved back to Philadelphia, PA and decided to join the Air Force Reserve in a way to try out the military. I selected Security Forces (SF) as my career of choice simply because they wore a beret. Once I’ve graduated technical training school, I’ve applied to several police departments where I got hired with the Winston Salem Police Department (WSPD).

I spent one year with the 512 SFS at Dover before transferring to Pope Army Airfield (AAF) with the 440th SFS. I did 3 years with WSPD before being directed to apply for a Combat Arms Training & Maintenance Instructor (CATM) Active Guard Reserve (AGR) position at Pope AAF. After my first year I was transferred to Dobbins Air Reserve Base 94th SFS in Marietta, GA since the 440th SFS was being deactivated.

After spending 3 years with the 94th SFS, I decided to put in my package for recruiting to get a break from complacency and try a challenging career field. After completing graduating recruiting school, I was stationed to Moore, OK as my first recruiting duty station. I have a 4 year old pit bull (rescue) named King. I like to coach football and play flag football in my off time. Riding my motorcycle is my safe haven on a nice day. My Air Force career has taken me to 4 different states and one new country. In my 9 years of service I have enjoyed all the opportunities that have presented themselves to me.
