SSgt Donovan Klein

Hello! My name is Donovan Klein and I was born November 26, 1978. Both of my parents were Active Duty Army so I have lived in Texas, Italy, and Virginia before settling in Peotone, Illinois. I have 1 brother that lives in Rochester, Indiana. My father lives in Chicago, Illinois and my mother passed away December 27, 2018.

I graduated High School in 1997. I started working in the transportation industry to save money so I can attend college. I attended Trinity Christian College in 1999 but I was not able to afford the tuition, so I dropped out. I opened my first business in 2003 and went back to school in 2006. In 2008, I graduated from DeVry University with my Bachelors degree. I then attended Gonzaga University for my graduate studies in Organizational Leadership. I completed my Master degree in 2011. I opened my second business shortly afterwards and then I went to Liberty University to which I finished my MBA in 2015.

I have worked over seventeen years in the transportation industry. I started two businesses, one successful and one was not. My first marriage lasted almost six years. I remarried November 28, 2008 to my beautiful bride, Mandee. We became foster parents in 2009, taking in sexually abused females. We have four biological children, Abigail, Keagan, Olivia and ZoeGrace.

I joined the Air Force Reserve in September 2014. I went to basic training in January in 2015 and then attended technical school in March. Afterwards, I was stationed at Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, IL and worked on the C-40 airframe. I went on one mission that allowed me to visit Canada, England, Germany, Spain and Ireland. I then applied and was accepted to become a line recruiter. I attended technical school in January 2019 and I am currently stationed in Wichita, Kansas as the south line recruiter. I have been coined three times, twice by two different Wing Commanders and one by the AFRC Command Chief.
