Although we'd been attending the same school, our team first grew close in early 2022 in our shared physics class, and instantly bonded over our love of aerospace and engineering. We strengthened our connection after discussing a solution to a NASA-posed radiation hardened electronics problem, and decided to apply our passions toward the often-neglected issue of aerospace accessibility.
Inspired by some of our idols in the field along with our shared desire to inflict change, we began to develop an innovation to expand the astronaut selection process. In our research, we realized that this issue persisted far beyond aerospace. Upper-limb amputees face exclusion in so many high-risk industries, and we set out to reach equality in these fields through Aeramen.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Hi! My name is Mohan Parthasarathy. I'm a student at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJHSST) in Northern Virginia, and I'm a cofounder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Technology Officer at Aeramen. I've always had a love of aerospace and engineering, but I'm glad to be using it for something as powerful as the mission of Aeramen and applying my skills to benefit the world. Ronit and I have witnessed the struggles of the physically disabled around the world, especially their difficulties to be selected as astronauts, through both research and firsthand stories. Since we have known each other, we knew we wanted to create something to address this situation, and through a long development process, we have come up with our current Aeramen Limb design. As CEO & CTO, it is my responsibility to manage our overall business, oversee our customers and feedback, and monitor our technological development. Outside of Aeramen, I enjoy participating in extracurriculars like Quiz Bowl and Model United Nations, playing the saxophone, and walking my dog.
Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Hi! My name is Ronit Goyal. I am a student at St. Andrew's School (SAS) in Delaware, and I'm a cofounder, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer at Aeramen. Engineering has been a passion of mine throughout my whole life since completing elementary school projects, like my favorite, building a Rube Goldberg Machine. At Aeramen, I am glad to be able to use these skills to mitigate struggles of the physically-disabled. A few years ago, I saw a physically-disabled individual attempting to enter their car. Though I wanted to help, I was reminded that everyone wishes to be treated equally, a concept which we've truly embraced at Aeramen. The stigma around disability is so prevalent in society, so addressing exclusion is the perfect way I see to resolve this situation. As COO and CFO, it is up to me to manage the development and production of the Aeramen Limb, make sure it is meeting the needs of its users, and oversee our revenue and costs. Outside of Aeramen, I enjoy playing basketball, participating in extracurriculars like Quiz Bowl and Student Ambassadors, and playing the drums.
