FFDV began to be established in the 1990s, based on a focus on supporting young people and with the aim of working with families on sustainable agriculture techniques and the management of agricultural businesses in Guatemala.

This school developed by the Department of Rural Development, Natural Resources and Rural Societies, of the University of Caldas, is aimed at rural, peasant, indigenous, Afro-descendant women who belong to associations, organizations or collectives of women linked to rural areas in Colombia to generate a space for dialogue and exchange of knowledge between women who make rural life by building new ways of living in this area.

Dr. Claudia Ranaboldo is the coordinator of Biocultural Diversity and Territories Platform, network specialized in this thematic, where several organisations (universities, research and training centres, public institutions, international agencies, territorial organisations) participate and discuss different related topics. Last march (28 al 31 de marzo 2022) it was the First International Congress: Municipal Governance in Harmony with the Sustainable Development Goals in Latin America.

ASOJOVENESRGP is an Association of Young Rural Peace Managers who work for the well-being of young people, their families and the community, with the development of youth processes "work circles" to improve the quality of life and contribute to peace processes; it is of great importance to maintain a generational connection with the older population to preserve successful processes of the community, and not to close the line of transfer of knowledge, experiences and traditions.
This association promotes the entrepreneurship of young people, Identifying and designing entrepreneurship proposals, and supporting through its own revolving fund, to benefit rural young people and that they can achieve economic autonomy, driven by the irrefutable conviction that in the field there is more opportunity to generate business from the agricultural doing and the link with new technologies that points to innovation approaches, and from there arises the coffee project: Café Florentino.

Universal model farm for its great productive megabiodiversity in its tropical landscape, promoting tourism and inviting to participate in learning, fun, competition and interaction activities.
It is a theoretical-practical training program that proposes the development of skills to carry out productive projects in strategic sectors with high occupational performance. Preferably from the agricultural, livestock, fishing, agro-industrial, commercial or service areas. One of the trainings was about organic agriculture.

This project combines agroecology and tourism to help dignify the lives of women in Colombia. The project focuses on agroecological entrepreneurship in an area punished by the Colombian armed conflict, in Santander.
It is about recovering a space of war in a space of life through the cultivation of aromatic, ornamental, medicinal plants and the cultivation of vegetables and legumes.
On the one hand, they are committed to agro-ecological tourism through a natural space that can be visited, the Comunera Bionatural Center for Community Tourism and, on the other, to the empowerment of women through the economy, cultivating, producing and marketing all kinds of of organic products.

Caldas and Antioquia University promote the agroecological producers through yearly agroecological markets, letting farmers sell and be known.
Solidary company for women farmers. They provide economic help for them to continue working on the fields.
The Swiss foundation Es VIcis developed a repopulation program for towns in the interior of Argentina and has already carried out a pilot test in Colonia Belgrano, a town in Santa Fe, 190 kilometers from Rosario that established the first self-managed community.
In this project they carry out agribusinesses and look for many other businesses to develop the selected regions.

SWISSAID works with civil society organizations to create fairer conditions for small producers in Colombia. Agroecological farming and equality are central. Peace in Colombia is only possible if the livelihoods of women and men in rural areas are improved and policies in favor of the peasant, indigenous and Afro-Colombian population are promoted.
Thanks to Swissaid, men and women from rural, indigenous and Afro-Colombian communities are increasing their agroecological production and income.

The Foundation is committed to the creation of agricultural and agro-industrial units as the path to self-sufficiency in food, land and water in our country. They believe that the union of these production units will generate greater competitiveness in the market for their peasant families. They do diagnosis to evaluate their agroecological practices.
