Now, I am living in Switzerland, I am attracted to the environmental and sustainable policies internationally. I think that Switzerland a strategic country, to look at the SDGs and its completion, mostly because I have seen how the government and entrepreneurs are looking for the most efficient alternatives for fertilization with Nitrogen and substitute the practices that impoverish the soils and it is one the countries that strives for optimizing the phosphorus of the soil, making a rational use of water, manage the soil salinity problems and combats climate change.
I am a Bolivian lawyer, I come from a small city that lies in the Andean plateau, where it is hard to grow all kinds of food, and fruits or vegetables are only affordable for people with good income. Yet, the majority in Bolivia barely access the minimum wage.[1] I move to a bigger city to study Laws, Cochabamba is beautiful, where trees, flowers, fruits and vegetables exist in abundance; but, we also face problems due to the lack of water, the most important resource for the planet and its inhabitants.
When I graduate I decided to follow my passion, therefore in 2011 I founded a non-profit organization called Huellas & Futuro (Footprints and future), we strived for child protection and gender-based violence prevention. Nevertheless, I realized that a good intention is not enough, thus I moved to Switzerland in 2012 to study a MAS in Peace and Conflict Transformation in Universität Basel. I wrote my Master’s thesis on Monitoring and Evaluation tools to assess social projects in the framework of an International aid organization called Terre Des Hommes Schweiz in Basel.
