Valentines in August (VIA) is an annual event held by the organization that celebrates the idea of love and Valentines with an economic twist. As August is the farthest month away from February, the demand for flowers is at its lowest. Therefore, the idea of this project is to create an artificial demand for these flowers to compensate for their seasonal trough. Evidently, this event is usually held in August with a month of preparations done in advance.
Valentines in August has been a running flagship project for over 30 years.
Development Economics Conference of Ateneo (DECA) is a 3-day flagship event that aims to introduce economics to passionate high school students beyond the Ateneo gates and encourage them into the field of study. They will learn more about development economics through engaging activities such as onsite/online forums, group discussions, and poster/infographic making.
The Basic Economics Conference Series (BEcons) is a flagship project that features talks given by guest speakers of economic caliber and academic-related group dynamics as fundamental workshop components, derived from the ECON 110, 111, and 112 courses. The 6-session certificate course is open even to non-Ateneans. To qualify for a certificate, participants must get a grade higher than 70% in the course assessment and attend 3 out of 6 sessions.
AEAoutreach is the pioneer outreach initiative of the Ateneo Economics Association (AEA) that aims to promote volunteerism among members of the organization and produce a tangible impact on communities beyond the Ateneo campus.
KamalAEAn provides an avenue for economic discourse for the Ateneo student body, covering a wide range of sub-fields of economics, from climate change to tax reform. The project is a forum that invites professionals and experts to engage and educate Ateneans about the economic relevance of many of today’s pertinent issues.
EconTours is an educational initiative by the Ateneo Economics Association (AEA) that aims to bridge theoretical knowledge and practical application by immersing students in the operations and significance of economic institutions in the Philippines. The collaboration aims to organize guided tours, interactive activities, and discussions with industry experts, showcasing the institution's role and operations within the economic landscape.
AEAlympics is an inter-organization sports competition hosted by the Ateneo Economics Association (AEA) that aims to foster good camaraderie between different organizations and present its participants with an opportunity for new connections.
In 2025, AEA hosted AEAlympics: Pista, a three-day inter-organization Filipino games competition featuring games such as Patintero and Pinoy Henyo.
