During our fourth exposure to the community, we focused on the initial implementation of our planned community interventions and updating key community statistics. This exposure marked the transition from planning to action, allowing us to carry out selected activities and assess the community’s current needs and progress. We also gathered updated data to ensure that our interventions remained relevant and responsive to the identified priority health concerns.
Our courtesy call with the Municipal Mayor marked a meaningful beginning to our community immersion. We are grateful for the warm welcome and the support extended to our group. 🤍
Through unity and collaboration, we hope to contribute to promoting the health and well-being of the community. May this partnership serve as a foundation for meaningful service and lasting impact. 🌱

Over the course of three days, Team USWAG Kauswagan went from one purok to another across Barangay Kauswagan, bringing essential health services closer to families in the community.
We conducted Mass Hypertension Screening to identify individuals with elevated blood pressure at an early stage and provide them with appropriate health guidance and care.
We also conducted Hypertension Adherence Monitoring to help ensure that residents diagnosed with hypertension continue taking their medications and attending regular follow-up consultations.
In addition, we updated the Pet Registry to strengthen responsible pet ownership and promote the health and safety of both animals and the community. 🐾
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to all the families who warmly welcomed us and participated in our activities. Your cooperation and support strengthen our commitment to building a healthier and more resilient Barangay Kauswagan.

A healthy community begins with responsible care for our dogs and cats.
Through our Responsible Pet Ownership Education Campaign, Team USWAG Kauswagan visited every purok to share important information about:
🐾 Proper care and feeding of pets
💉 The importance of anti-rabies vaccination in protecting our families and community
📋 Pet registration and responsible pet ownership
🩹 The proper steps to take following an animal bite or scratch
Rabies is 100% preventable through responsible pet ownership and regular vaccination. Every vaccination not only protects our beloved pets—it also helps protect every family in Barangay Kauswagan.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all residents who participated in and supported our campaign. Together, let us continue caring for our animals and keeping our community safe.

A successful Birth Emergency Preparedness Capacity-Building Session was conducted for our Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) to strengthen their knowledge and skills in preparing pregnant women and their families for safe pregnancy and childbirth.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Joan Talavera, Ma'am Kate Sotto, Ma'am Ruth Carrera, and Ma'am Meryldon Bito of the Rural Health Unit (RHU) for generously sharing their time, expertise, and valuable knowledge with our BHWs. Your guidance and teachings will help further strengthen the quality of health services provided to the community.
We also commend our dedicated BHWs for their active participation and commitment to learning. Your willingness to continuously improve your knowledge and skills is essential to providing more effective support and care to pregnant women and their families.

We experienced another successful day of community service through the YAKAP Caravan at Alicia District Hospital, held alongside a Mass Hypertension Screening for the residents of Barangay Kauswagan. Through this initiative, many residents accessed free health services, screenings, and medical guidance to help safeguard their health.
The Mass Hypertension Screening is a major step toward detecting high blood pressure early, connecting residents with proper medical advice, treatment, and regular monitoring. Early identification of hypertension helps prevent serious complications such as strokes, heart disease, and kidney disease.
💚 A heartfelt thank-you to Alicia District Hospital for their unwavering support and dedication to our community. Special thanks to Dr. Sheino Sotto, Chief of Hospital, for his outstanding leadership and continued efforts to bring quality healthcare directly to every barangay. We also express our gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, midwives, medical technologists, pharmacists, administrative staff, and the entire ADH team who tirelessly devoted their time, expertise, and compassion to serve.
We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to the community of Barangay Kauswagan for your active participation, cooperation, and trust in our programs. Your support made this event a success and proved that caring for our health is a shared responsibility.
🌱 When the hospital, local government, and community unite, more lives are saved and a healthier future is built. Let us keep moving forward, Kauswagan! 💚
Pregnancy and childbirth are not the sole responsibility of the mother—husbands and the entire family play a crucial role in caring for and protecting both mother and child. ❤️
Through the Bulig Bana: Men's Forum, local fathers, husbands, and men in the community gathered to understand their vital role in Birth Emergency Preparedness and Facility-Based Delivery. The forum emphasized the importance of birth planning, arranging transportation and emergency funds, recognizing pregnancy danger signs, and supporting wives at every stage of pregnancy.
🌟 Our deepest appreciation goes to Alicia District Hospital for their continuous support and collaboration in this program. Special thanks to Dr. Sheino, Dr. Jermae Sotto, and Ms. Ederosas, who generously shared their time, knowledge, and experience to empower our men. Your dedication serves as a great inspiration and contributes significantly to strengthening maternal and family health in Barangay Kauswagan.
Thank you as well to all the husbands and fathers who attended and actively participated in the discussion. Your presence demonstrates that caring for mothers and children is a shared commitment every family should strive for.
💚 When husbands, mothers, families, and the community support one another, childbirth becomes safer and our children enjoy a healthier future.
Preparation shouldn't wait until the day of labor—it needs to begin during pregnancy. ❤️
As part of our Safe Motherhood campaign, Team USWAG Kauswagan distributed the Birth Emergency Preparedness Package (BEPP) and Birth Emergency Algorithm to expectant mothers to help them plan for a safe and smooth delivery.
🚨 The BEPP contains essential supplies and information to help mothers and their families prepare for childbirth.
📋 The Birth Emergency Algorithm serves as a step-by-step guide for families during emergencies—detailing whom to contact, where to go, what to bring, and how to act swiftly to prevent delays and secure timely care.
❤️ Our ultimate goal is to ensure that no mother or child is left at risk due to a lack of preparation. Equipped with proper information, sound planning, and strong family and community support, we can ensure a safe and healthy delivery.
💚 Preparing today can save lives tomorrow. Let us continue moving forward for safe mothers and healthy children!
Education begins with the youth, and responsible pet care starts with awareness. 🐾
Team USWAG Kauswagan successfully conducted the TAHOL (Transforming Animal Health and Ownership Liability) Responsible Pet Ownership and Anti-Rabies Educational Session at Kauswagan Elementary School. Our team visited classrooms to educate students on proper pet care, the importance of anti-rabies vaccinations, and steps to prevent rabies.
Through interactive discussions, Q&A, and engaging activities, the students learned that caring for pets is a significant responsibility. They were also taught what to do if bitten or scratched by an animal and why seeking immediate medical attention is vital.
💚 A big thank-you to Kauswagan Elementary School, its administration, teachers, and students for their warm welcome and active participation. Your cooperation helps spread awareness among the youth and strengthens our campaign against rabies.
🐾 Every informed child can lead by example within their family and community. Together, let us build a Barangay Kauswagan made up of responsible pet owners and a rabies-free environment.
🌱 Change begins with education. Let us work together to protect our families, pets, and community. Onward to progress, Kauswagan! 💚
