Hi! I’m Alyssa Rose and I lead family-friendly outdoor adventures in the greater Rochester Area. Since childhood I have loved exploring the forest, ponds, lakes, and streams of upstate New York. After high school I earned a Bachelors of Arts in Teaching from St. Bonaventure University and went on to complete a Masters of Arts in Teaching the Biological Sciences from Miami University of Ohio, in affiliation with the Bronx Zoo.
Over the past 10 years I have been a hike leader, naturalist, tour guide, summer camp teacher, and camp manager at the Genesee Country Village & Museum. After moving to Palmyra I began substitute teaching, but I have missed leading hikes and other outdoor educational activities. I decided to go into business for myself! I obtained my NYS Program Leader Certification in 2024 and am trained in First Aid, CPR, and Water Safety.
My mission is to provide outdoor educational opportunities in the Greater Rochester Area that are engaging and safe. I hope to inspire as many families as possible to get out and explore the natural spaces around their community.
