A attended this conference discussing women within the workforce and provided resources and guidance to lead in careers within a male-dominated world. They sought to achieve this by engaging students with experiences central to diverse women and gender-expansive people of all types including faculty, staff, alumni, and professionals of all industries. I participated specifically in the service event at Citizens for a Better South Florida, a garden that stands as a food hub to distribute fresh produce to underserved communities such as Overtown and Brownsville free of charge. During this experience, I assisted with weeding, mulching, tree pruning, and clearing areas for planting the fruit trees.
