"Adopt Love, Don't Shop"
Adoptees LK is an online pet adoption service that connects fosters with adoptive homes islandwide, free of charge. We prioritize rehoming local Sri Lankan Hounds and Ceylon Cats, hence do not have commercial animals up for adoption. Our operations are solely on social media platforms, i.e. Facebook, Instagram & Twitter. As per our motto, we encourage adoption, and strongly oppose animal commercialization and breeding.
Saving Newborns
This is our first project, in which we share educational and informative tutorials on neonatal kitten care, and occasionally on pet care. This benefits inexperienced fosters who find abandoned newborn litters, and guides new pet owners. The tutorials are penned by our experienced volunteer writer, Tiana Barthelot and are published on a monthly basis.

NG Awards: Youth Activist of the Year
Ninuri Asalya won the Young Activist of the Year award at the New Generation Awards 2021, organized by Women in Management and National Youth Services Council. The award was in recognition of her contribution to the animal welfare community in Sri Lanka, involving the pet adoption service "Adoptees LK" as well as her rescue work. It is her privilege to earn recognition on behalf of this neglected community and claims this to be a victory for us all.
