Aguillon Clinches Gold for Western Visayas in 200m Finals of Palarong Pambansa '23

Despite the blazing scorching heat, Krisha Aguillon of Western Visayas enchanted the crowd with her immense performance, finishing the tournament in 26.00 seconds and took home another gold medal in 200 Meter Dash Secondary Girls Finals of Palarong Pambansa 2023 held at Marikina Sports Complex, August 2.
Aguillon, known for her remarkable form and speed started to assert dominance.When the starting gun was fired, the Negrense runner fuelled up her feet, making a huge lead and leaving other competitors trailing behind.
As she turned in the first curve, Aguillon breezed through the track with dominant energy. She remained focused and maintained her exceptional speed, still leading and hoping to end the tournament with ease.
However, Schenly Faye Ombid of Region 7 soon catched up to her, but Aguillon did not fall under pressure. Aguillon increased her speed and brilliantly crossed the finish line, nailing her hard earned victory.
Krisha Aguillon emerged as the fastest runner in the tournament. She defeated Region 7’s Schenly Faye Ombid (26.74 seconds) and another Region 6’s bet, Angel Villagracia (27.46 seconds).
“My training fortunately paid off,” said Aguillon. “I am very happy because all of my opponents are considered as the best of the best. This inspires me to do well and train hard for future tournaments.”
After Aguillon’s gold medal finish, Western Visayas achieved its highest overall finish in Palarong Pambansa with 24 gold medals since 2013.
