The Core Concept of Autarkic Art
Autarkic Art is a creative philosophy developed by Adi Adar, built upon three fundamental pillars:
Material Sovereignty - The artist reclaims independence by becoming a researcher and gatherer. Instead of buying supplies, we source raw materials-botanical, geological, and organic-directly from our immediate environment.
Place-Based Creation - The art is an extension of the land. Each piece is deeply rooted in the biology, seasons, and spirit of the local landscape. It is a creative dialogue with a particular point on Earth.
Circular Sustainability - The practice embraces nature’s leftovers. By transforming fallen bark, seeds, and organic waste into art, we create a cycle where nothing is wasted and everything has creative potential.
Art that breathes with the forest.
