Gifty K. Bempong (PhD student, Summer 2026 - present )

Research Interests: I am an applied entomologist interested in integrated pest management, ecology, insect biodiversity, and soil arthropods. I am currently assessing the soil arthropod community and its influence on crop performance under different irrigation technologies and rates in alfalfa and corn cropping systems.

Research Interest: Miriam holds a B.S. in Biology (Wildlife Biology) and serves a central role in coordinating and supporting both laboratory and field research.

Rachel Shamo Randall (Research Assistant)

Research Interest: Rachel is pursuing a B.S. in Biology with a concentration in ecology and evolutionary biology. She has a strong interest in entomology, especially beneficial insects such as parasitoids, pollinators, decomposers, and weed herbivores. Rachel assists with laboratory and field research, with a focus on bees and other beneficial insects. 

Jamie Jensen (Research Assistant)

Research Interest: Jamie is pursuing a B.S. in Agricultural Education. Jamie assists with laboratory and field research and has a passion for sharing agricultural knowledge with stakeholders.
