Although many companies require candidates to be clean and sober for a several years, there are organizations that dedicate their focus to hiring people not in this category. Here are some programs and companies that will help you get started.

This program is for people with disabilities who are looking to develop workplace knowledge. This program provides training in attitudes, skills, and knowledge as well as WHIMIS, FoodSafe, Superhost and First Aid certificates. It also provides on the job experience at 3 different employers! This course does have a fee but the Financial Aid services at UFV will help you cover the cost.
A job readiness program! Triangle is a 6 week training program to help with job readiness and build confidence and experience skills while supporting participants in finding a job.
Each of these service centers offer help in finding jobs. From resources, workshops, and one-on-one aid, job searching has never been easier!
