Nordic Skiing
Offered to all Vermont residents with disabilities at Craftsbury Outdoor Center.
All equipment is free of charge to scholarship recipients
Options for one-on-one lessons or a day/season pass for independent skiing
Ski & Ride
Offered to youth and adults with disabilities at Stowe mountain resort
Apply for a series of adaptive lessons led by a specially trained adaptive ski instructor, or for a day, or for a season pass to enjoy independent skiing or riding.
**Capacity has been reached for 24/25 ski season - applications generally open in October
Tetra Ski and Snow'Kart at Stowe
Tetra ski offers independent skiing for people with complex physical disabilities by independent turning and speed variability through the use of a joystick or with breath control
Snow'Kart allows individuals to ski almost independently and is best for individuals who lack strength or coordination in their upper limb and/or have limited balance
$25 registration fee and tax donations are appreciated and go toward program development.
Swimming
Offered to youth and adults with disabilities at Green Mountain Community Fitness in Berlin and The Swimming Hole in Stowe
Provides acclimation to the aquatic environment, stroke work, and competition swimming
Apply for scholarship ($25 application fee) for 5 lessons.
Kayaking
Offered to youth and adults of all ability levels.
Runs for 8 weeks from mid June-mid August
This Program is regularly held at Waterbury Reservoir but occasionally offers programs throughout VT and NY
Applications open May 15th ($25 application fee)
Indoor Rock Climbing
Offered to youth and adults of all ability levels at Stowe Rocks Climbing Center
Scholarship based ($25 application fee)
Movement Classes
Offered to youth and adults with a disability wishing to participate in movement programs at Elevate Movement Collective in Stowe
Classes include agility, strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, and endurance

Offered from late May-September at Moorings Marina in Colchester
Boats can also be controlled with a sip ‘n’ puff switch, granting sailors with significant mobility or dexterity impairments the chance to captain independently.

Sled Hockey
Offered weekly from December-mid March
Available to all ages and abilities
Players sit on sleds and propel themselves by using modified hockey sticks. Participants with significant mobility or dexterity limitations have the option to have a pusher propel their sled.

Tennis
Smuggler's Notch offers both winter and summer adaptive sports for all ages and abilities
Winter Ski Program
Half day and full day lessons available
Adaptive ski equipment includes mono-skis, bi-skis, and a slider. Snowboarding is also offered.
Each participant will be evaluated by highly trained instructors to determine appropriate adaptive equipment and to set goals.
Summer Adaptive Program
A variety of activities are offered in this program including arts & crafts, hiking, kayaking, mini golf, nature time, S.T.E.M., and swimming
Special Olympics Vermont provides year-round sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

Snowsports
Offered to youth and adults with disabilities at Sugarbush Resort/ Mt. Ellen in Waitsfield, VT
Activities offered include alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, & snowshoeing

Equipment, lessons, and tickets are free of charge
Reservations are required 48 hours in advance for independent athletes and 14 days for anyone requiring assistance
