The OUSD SPED already had this XYZ Junior series 3D printer but they were unaware as to how to use it. I did research and learned how to use XYZ's slicing (turning a file into code that a 3d printer can read) software. At their office I installed new filament and had to tweak a few things with the printer until it worked but now they are able to print anything. Right now they are using the printer to fabricate a tactile symbol for communication created by Project Core. It is a tool used by people who can't see to say where they want to go/what they want to do. One is pictured below.
I taught some of OUSD's staff how to 3d print so they are able to use the machine independent of me. Pictured to the left is a fake hearing aide that someone who uses a hearing aide can put on their toy to help with acceptance.
