DevaData is a turn based RPG that centres around a group of friends trying to save the internet. DevaData features a two lane system of which characters can be at the front or back of the battle. Each character including enemies have different skillsets depending on which lane they occupy. There are also items that the characters can use to help them during combat, such as heals and buffs.

He can tank lots of damage as well as deal decent damage. In general he can move opponents back and forth to mess up their synergy.

Alt is the healer of the team when she is at the back. At the front she takes a more offensive stance and can even rob enemies of items.

At the front lane Midi is a warrior capable of beating up monsters with her keytar. While being in the back lane she can buff her allies.

Tilde is mostly a front lane character that can do decent damage and protect allies. At the back he can speed up allies and take some ranged shots.

The levels in DevaData are meant to represent different regions in the world, which are Italy, USA and Egypt. The whole idea is that the players have a quest to do in order to complete the level and move onto the next.

The player can use a glitch in the internet system and activate an admin mode which allows them to see objects and enemies they normally couldn't see or interact with. This creates possibility of puzzles for the players to solve to complete quests and gain bonus items.

For this level I wanted it to convey Italian like architecture with the narrow rock roads/paths. The quest for this level is to win a certain amount of fights to unlock a bridge to move onto the next level. The player can utilize admin mode to get two combat items at the end area on the left. To finish the level the player will need to head to the Tower of Pisa.

At the tower there will be a path leading upwards but is blocked by a metal gate.

However if the player activates Admin Mode they are able to see that there is a loot box as well as a level that they can pull in order to open the gate. The gate is designed to also appear in wireframe texture as to help the player to understand that it is related to the mechanism.

For the New York level I decided that it will follow the grid like structure of the city. Using the assets I have available I created a rectangular shaped level.

In this level the player is tasked to find and activate two levels that are hidden around the map. The two green circles above are the locations of the levers. The red circle is the exit that the levers will open. Much like the previous level there are secrets hidden around that award the player with items to use in combat.

To reach the eastern lever the player must use admin mode to see/walk on half of the path.

So this is what the player sees in admin mode. The normal bits will vanish and it is a challenge to the player to activate admin mode then jump onto the normal parts and turn admin mode off before they land. This adds a layer of simple platforming to the exploration part of the game.

As for the other lever it is a simpler task of locating the lever at the wall at the end of this alleyway.

Once the player uses admin mode they can simply see the lever and activate it. Once both levers are pulled the exit at the top middle of the map will open. There the player can proceed and touch the Statue Of Liberty to continue to the next level.

In the egypt map the player is tasked to pick an answer to a riddle. The way they answer is by selecting one of the three slabs that have different answers. After picking the correct answer the northern gates will open and lead to the exit.
