How you practice and what you spend your time practicing is worth considering. Technique, music theory, improvisation and composition are all equally important. It's also important to have fun and be creative. Although scales and exercises are good to build technique and knowledge, a playful spirit is essential to creating original compositions.
First lesson is free and is more of a meeting to get a sense of what you hope to accomplish with lessons and to see if we are a good fit. We can meet virtually for this and go over some fretboard basics, or more advanced music theory for intermediate students.
Lessons are $30 an hour and happen either weekly or bi-weekly depending on student's needs.
