Mane Event : Horses on the big Screen
Lights, camera, horses! In this action-packed summer camp, Horses on the Big Screen, campers step into the world of movie-making through riding, groundwork, and creative projects inspired by famous horse films. Each day features a new “film set” theme—from Director’s Cut goal-setting on clipboards and Writer’s Block storyboarding, to Behind the Scenes grooming and presentation, Liberty Work: Trainer for a Day where campers teach a horse a new skill, and Stunt School practicing movie-style stunts on the barrel. Campers will design a movie poster, vote in their own Academy Awards, and dress in costume for Film Day, where they’ll record a short scene at the walk, trot, and halt and deliver a single line on camera. Camp is led by instructor Craig McCoskery, an accomplished horse trainer whose work has appeared in major films including The Surrogates with Bruce Willis and The Boy with the Golden Plates, giving campers a true behind-the-scenes look at how horses shine on screen.
This program is open to riders of all levels ages 6-16
