Axovira Technologies ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Acharya mobile application (the "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App and the choices you have associated with that data.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect the following types of information:
a) Account Information
- Full name and email address (via Google Sign-In or Phone OTP)
- Profile photo (optional)
- Institute name and city (optional)
b) App Data
- Student names, phone numbers, and parent contact details
- Batch names, subjects, timings, and schedules
- Fee records, payment status, and due amounts
- Attendance records
c) Payment Information
- UPI Transaction ID (for Pro subscription verification)
- We do NOT store any bank details, card numbers, or UPI PIN
d) Device Information
- Device type and operating system version
- App version and crash reports (for bug fixing only)
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain the Acharya App functionality
- To sync your data across devices using Google Firebase
- To process Pro subscription requests
- To send important app notifications
- To improve our app based on usage patterns
- To provide customer support
3. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
- All data is stored securely on Google Firebase servers
- Firebase uses industry-standard encryption (AES-256)
- We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data
- Your data is stored in Google Cloud servers (Mumbai region for India)
- We retain your data as long as your account is active
4. DATA SHARING
We do NOT sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties except:
- Google Firebase (for data storage and authentication)
- Google Analytics (for app performance monitoring)
- As required by law or legal process
5. STUDENT DATA PRIVACY
- Student data entered by teachers is owned by the respective teacher
- We do not access, share, or use student data for any purpose other than app functionality
- Teachers are responsible for obtaining necessary consent from students/parents
6. YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data stored in the app
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your data
- Opt out of non-essential data collection

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Acharya App is designed for teachers (adults 18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Student data entered by teachers is their responsibility.
8. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Our app uses the following third-party services:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage)
- Google Sign-In
- URL Launcher (for WhatsApp integration)
Each of these services has their own Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review them.
9. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
