Meet Neil Heimbigner (Mr. H.)

Born and raised in the "Big Sky" state of Montana, I attended Eastern Montana College (Montana State University - Billings). After receiving my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, I began teaching in Chester, Montana, where I remained for 8 years. While in Chester I taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grade Social Studies. I also coached 8th grade girl's basketball and high school girl's tennis. It was during this time that I also received my Masters degree in Technology Education.

After getting married, my wife and I moved to Colorado. My first teaching job in Colorado was teaching 4th grade in Aurora Public Schools. Wanting to be closer to home, I soon took the "Media Specialist" position at Franklin Elementary in Littleton, Co. . I remained in the Media/Technology capacity until twelve years ago, when I moved back to the classroom.

There are many things I enjoy doing in my spare time. At the top of my list is traveling, especially to DisneyWorld - the happiest place on earth! I also enjoy sporting activities, listening to music, watching movies, and family time. Family is of utmost importance to me. My wife and I have two children, one boy and one girl. They have taught me that no two children are alike and each of us comes with a different skill set. I believe that lesson serves me well in the classroom.
