Multi Factor Authentication means that your account will require two forms of authentication to log in: A password, which should be strong, and an additional verification method done via an account linked Microsoft Mobile Authenticator App. We require this to provide an additional layer of security, Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) is a must have to prevent against account and password phishing attacks.
Start by downloading the Microsoft Authenticator app to your mobile phone from your relevant app store.
Search for "Microsoft Authenticator app". Look for icon to know you have found the right app.

The next steps will have to be done from a device other than your mobile phone as you will need to scan a QR code with your mobile phone. The other device can be another phone but it will be easier on a PC, laptop or tablet.
Go to https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info on your other device and sign in with your Accuro work email account and password.
It's best to use an incognito window or private window in your browser if you already have your own Microsoft account on your device.
If you are prompted to change your password, please do so. Make sure it will be something you can remember.

If you see this screen, click "Next".
Click "+ Add sign-in method".
Select "Authenticator app" and click Add.
You should have already downloaded the app in the first step above. So just click "Next".
Click "Next".
Leave this screen open.
Now open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone.
Select the plus symbol to add an account.
Select "Work or School Account"
Select "Scan a QR code".
Scan the QR code on the screen you left open on the other device.
You should now see the account in the app.
Return to your other device
Click "Next".
Return to your phone
You may be prompted to select "Approve" in the authenticator app. Press approve on this popup to confirm
Or you may be presented with a number on your other device. Enter this number into the popup and click Yes.
The app should now be linked to your account.
Return to your other device
You may be prompted configure an additional verification option in the event you lose access to the Mobile authenticator app.
Select the correct country code, enter your mobile number, and then select "Done".
Now click "Set default sign-in-method".
Select "App based authentication - notification" and click "Confirm".
You are now ready to start using your work email with the MFA app.
If you receive a prompt to approve a sign on and you haven’t attempted to log in, always deny the login attempt. You should never approve a sign in if you were not expecting it.
You can access your email using a browser or the Microsoft Outlook email app. Using any other email app may work but will not be supported if you run into problems.
Using a Browser
Go to https://outlook.live.com/owa/ using any browser.
Click "Sign In".
Enter your email address and password.

If you don't already have it on your phone, download the Microsoft Outlook app from your relevant app store.
