Current Projects

  • Mechanical propertiers of nano-objects (FCC metals and semiconductors) using atomistic methods (classical molecular dynamics and DFT): onset of plasticity in free defect nanostructures, brittle to ductile transition in silicon at low size, dislocation core configurations under stress, and dislocation interaction with defects.
  • Mechanical properties of nano-architechtured material like nano-porous metals, role of interfaces on mechanical properties
  • Mechanical behavior of silicon nanowire during lithiation and delithiation (onset of fracture).
