Join us at Fall Family Camp
Hello, families! I invite you to come together for a relaxing, luxury camp weekend. This camp is a passion project to provide a care-free weekend for families and create new friendships among adults and children alike.
Leave your worries and responsibilities at the door and head to Sundre in Central Alberta where all your accommodation, meals and entertainment are taken care of for you - just focus on getting to know your kids' friends and their families and make some new friends along the way.
I'd love to see you there, last year was such blast! Please forward any questions to withgrit.info@gmail.com
You can find more information about Camp Evergreen here on their website.
Yours truly,
Shani
Photo disclaimer: the camp was just wrapping up their summer and were in the middle of cleaning when I went for inspection last year. The hatchet board will be replaced and all mattresses will be laid properly on their beds. They're pretty comfy!
Also, I have some formatting issues with photos from our 2024 camp, so there aren't many of those at the moment, either...
Well now that I have some personal experience under my belt, I can be more descriptive about what you can expect when you join us!
The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, but also stay out of your way
The meals are hardy and on time, diet requirements are carefully attended to. Don't miss out!
This is a Christian camp, and you will find evidence of such. Grace before eating is done by the staff and is the only forthright Faith observance you will be a part of.
All sleeping quarters are beds only - toilets are showers are found in the Shower House and the Lodge
The Traditional Cabins (the first to be built) sleep 6 and are close to the main lodge. If you like a bright space, a lantern/large flashlight is recommended as current lighting is dim. Your closest washrooms are located in the Lodge.
The Lodge Rooms sleep 6 and are located above the main kitchen/eating area - take stairs into account
The Large Cabins are centrally located and in close proximity to other recreational buildings: the Hall, the Lodge, the Bouldering Room and the Shower House. These sleep 6 per side with the option to have a middle sliding door open or closed during your stay.
The supervised activities are laid out for the weekend with sign up sheets for various time slots (typical limit of 12 at a time). The unsupervised activities are available at anytime during the activity slots to enjoy at your discretion
Children under 5-7 years old may not participate in the Zip Line and Trail Ride activities for insurance purposes, and must be with an adult when going on the Pony Ride. Children younger than 5 have indoor play spaces they can explore with their parents.
Participants 8 years old and older may enjoy all supervised activities, without adult supervision, as long as they show up on time to hear the safety instructions.
You may participate in everything or nothing. The pace is yours to set!
