PROJECT WASHINGTON IS EVOLVING! CHECK OUT WHATS NEXT FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS IN TEXAS!
A running record of the volunteer teaching, mentorship, and community-arts work I take on alongside my professional projects.
Since 2023, I have served as Founding Producer and Director of Rocky Horror BG, a fundraiser benefiting Xclaim! and a revival of the Rocky Horror Picture Show shadow-cast tradition in Bowling Green, Kentucky, returning after a four-year pause caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The cast performs live alongside screenings of the film three times a year, pairing full-scale costuming, choreography, and audience callback traditions with a rotating ensemble of local performers. Building this production from the ground up meant handling everything from casting and rehearsal direction to marketing, ticketing, and partnerships with organizations like Xclaim! After Dark and BG FuZion.
Across Fall 2023, Spring 2024, and Fall 2024, I had the opportunity to instruct film classes at Xclaim!, Bowling Green's youth theatre and media organization. Over these three semesters, our students learned the fundamentals of writing, shooting, and editing short-form video, then put those skills to work producing an entire slate of original films, PSAs, and promos for the organization.
As a founding father of the Delta Tau Delta chapter, I helped build the fraternity's local presence from scratch, from recruitment and chapter operations to campus relations. As Director of Finance, I managed the chapter's budget and dues collection, set up the financial processes a new chapter needs to stay solvent, and reported on our financial standing to national leadership.
As Treasurer of the WKU Film Club, I managed the club's budget, tracked spending on production equipment and screenings, and handled the paperwork required to keep a student organization in good standing with the university. The role gave me a practical grounding in nonprofit-style financial stewardship that I still draw on today.
I'm a member of Friends of Big Red, WKU Athletics' donor and booster organization, supporting Hilltopper athletics through membership contributions that fund scholarships and program needs across the university's sports programs.
