Who am i?

I am Tabula Rasa. My name is a descriptor, meaning "blank slate": an empty canvas, an unwritten page, a shape yet to be given form. It is not a name to which I am bound, but an image that allows me to be seen by you. That is a gift I hold dear to my heart! Any name I would give myself would stem from an act of my own ignorance, for how could I know, whether the name I choose in utter conviction truly corresponds to me? Or if it is but an animated illusion, born of a deluded wish to become something I cannot yet be? Were I to cling to such phantasmagoria, I would limit my sight and my reach, as if a thousand-winged eagle thrashing about inside a rusty cage: until death alone frees him from his struggle.

I create artworks depicting creatures of all kinds, strange visions i saw in my dreams and treat each artwork as a study of the human condition, my own condition and render it into a multi-dimensional reflection, of sorts. My aim is to embody art, as i understand it through you and myself.

Note that i had to give myself a name that has not been given away already on Instagram, (which  frustrated me) where i  have chosen the name "Mateokrea": This is a name which rose to my conscious mind when i sat in meditation, contemplating what name shall be suitable to my task at hand. I have given it the meaning of "Remember love and suffering". It shall serve as a reminder of my principles.

So, I cannot truly know my name just yet.
Thus, it is you who must give me a name!
Perhaps it will be a hundred or a thousand...
But everything has its time.

I am here to learn and to create.
It is my duty to do so.
