Because i am grateful.
A word of reverence
My work does not merely seek to imbue images with meaning, nor to arrange shades and hues in an array pleasing to the eye. More than this, it is foremost an expression of my sincere devotion: to humanity, to nature, and to that which transcends them both. A rigorous study, which then results in an image: a new understanding. The former aspects are most definitely reasons as to why i adore artists and art itself, however.
The artist creates the image as much as the image creates the artist. Our new conceptions of self emerge through such interplay. Such is the nature of dreams and of our own interactions as well. Each word you say to me shapes the images I will create in the future, as each word is a constellation of a new understanding you pass unto me: giving way to the formation of a new egg for us to be reborn, as if some mortal phoenix dissolving into the blackness of night, to rise anew by dawn.
These drawings and paintings may be imbued with joy,
with tears or screams of rage and terror… or utter confusion. Maybe even something i cannot yet conceive of, perhaps something i would not realise, if not for one word uttered by you, and you alone.
Also, i cannot call myself an artist yet. The day i am an artist, is when you, as the world, gives me that name and decides that it shall be so. Until then, i am but a mere image maker.
I strive to understand beauty as it is understood through the eyes of thousands, along with my own. I strive to be skilled enough to bring forth art that transcends itself. And I will work toward this, with each progressing thought conjoined with my brushstrokes: unceasingly, relentlessly. For my heart tells me to do so, and my intellect is convinced of this to be my task.
Through solitude, in my work through image making and from the words of nature: And when I submerge myself in those familiar wild currents, stirred up by the hearts of mankind.
To put it simply:
I create, transform, dissolve, and integrate.
That is my work: A sacrifice.
Forgive me if I am too wordy.
I have not yet learned how to speak.
I am looking forward to hear from you!
Take care out there. Remember that you are a gift to the world,
changing it with each step you take.
