SUBSTITUTE TEACHING ARTIST EXPERIENCES

Experienced substitute teacher with a passion for visual arts and a background in working with children and youth.Ms. Afrika Abney has provided valuable services to Mundo Verde PCS where she  worked with Ms. Gloria Quirarte as a sub for Mundo Verde in 2013-2014. Ms. Abney knew some Spanish and has an extensive background in visual art and working with children and youth and DC International School at the old campus from 2016 - 2017 when she subbed for Ms. Mireya Goni Camejo (Spanish Art Teacher) sharing her extensive expertise in visual arts with students and staff members. Dedicated to bridging the achievement gap through art education, Ms. Abney believes in the power of visual arts for student achievement and personal development.
