Assessment/s and Intervention (from 1 October 2022)


PreLit (MultiLit) - Early Intervention Sessions:

(prior to formal schooling and Prep students only – Ages 3 to 6 Years – during school hours)

- Initial discussion of individual needs (via phone) FREE

- Initial assessment/(Phonological Awareness) Screener (30-45 minutes) $50 per student

- Specialist PreLit sessions - 1 to 2 students (40 minutes) $45 per student

Literacy – Intervention sessions:

- Initial discussion of individual needs (via phone) FREE
* Consultation and Assessment/s ($150) required prior to commencement of intervention sessions - see below ‘Additional services’

- Literacy Intervention Sessions (one-to-one) $ 95 per hour
($72 per 45mins, $48 per 30mins) N.B. includes weekly materials for 'at home' practice.

Numeracy - Intervention:

- Initial discussion of individual needs (via phone) FREE
* Consultation and Assessment/s ($150) required prior to commencement of intervention sessions - see below ‘Additional services’

- Numeracy Intervention Sessions (one-to-one) $ 95 per hour
($72 per 45mins, $48 per 30mins) N.B. includes weekly materials for 'at home' practice.

N.B. Session times are negotiable as all students have different needs – please call to discuss further if your child requires shorter or longer sessions.

Additional services:

Numeracy and Literacy Consultation & Assessment/s (essential for all new, literacy and numeracy clients or useful for gathering evidence for support at school): (45mins to 1hr) $ 150
After assessment and analysis, a document will be provided for you to share with your child's school including a detailed summary of 'areas of need'.
(This service will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour of face-to-face (or online) assessment time with the child and an additional 1.5 hours of analysis after the assessment session. This service is essential if you are commencing intervention sessions, or can be performed as a stand-alone service if you are concerned about your child's reading, spelling, writing or numeracy levels and you want some further guidance or specific information to advocate for your child. I have worked with many families to help them understand why their child isn't having success at school. Please note that this service does not involve a 'diagnosis' as such. The assessments are used to identify gaps in learning that may be causing issues for the child).

QLD Kindergarten Programs, Childcare & Primary Schools (Independent and State):

PreLit and Literacy or Numeracy Intervention sessions - I am registered with QCT and TRACER. Should you require a period of intervention for several children (up 4 students per grouping with similar needs), I may be able to negotiate some half-day casual teaching times to provide evidence-based intervention for these students.
