Assessment/s and Intervention  (from 20 April 2026)

PreLit (MultiLit) - Early Intervention Sessions:

(6 months prior to formal schooling and beginning Prep students only – Ages 4 to 6 Years – during school hours)

-         Initial discussion of individual needs (via phone)     FREE

-         Initial assessment Screener - Phonological Awareness (30-45 minutes)      $75 per student

-         Specialist, MultiLit - PreLit (Pre-Literacy) sessions - 1 (30 minutes)        $52 per student

(Please Note: Shorter times may be required for each child. These sessions are specifically for children aged 4 to 6 that are getting ready to start Prep.
PreLit is a MULTILIT program. PreLit is a systematic, skills-based program that lays a sound foundation for children to learn to read. It provides early childhood teachers with the tools necessary to teach pre-literacy skills and concepts in a fun and engaging way.)

Literacy – Intervention sessions:

-         Initial discussion of individual needs (via phone)        FREE
* Consultation and Assessment/s ($150) required prior to commencement of intervention sessions - see below ‘Additional services’

-         Literacy Intervention Sessions (one-to-one)           $ 52 per half hour session
Please Note: This amount includes weekly 'at home' practice instruction and/or materials.

Numeracy - Intervention:

-         Initial discussion of individual needs (via phone)        FREE
* Consultation and Assessment/s ($150) required prior to commencement of intervention sessions - see below ‘Additional services’

-         Numeracy Intervention Sessions (one-to-one)       $ 52 per half hour session
Please Note: This amount includes weekly 'at home' practice instruction and/or materials.

N.B. Session times are negotiable as all students have different needs – please call to discuss further if your child requires shorter or longer sessions.

Additional services:

Numeracy and Literacy Consultation & Assessment/s  (essential for all new, literacy and numeracy clients or useful for gathering evidence for support at school):  (45mins to 1hr)   $220 (FORMAL)   or  Informal (No report) $110
After assessment and analysis, a document will be provided for you to share with your child's school including a detailed summary of 'areas of need'.
(This service will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour of face-to-face (or online) assessment time with the child and an additional 1.5 hours of analysis after the assessment session. This service is essential if you are commencing intervention sessions, or can be performed as a stand-alone service if you are concerned about your child's reading, spelling, writing or numeracy levels and you want some further guidance or specific information to advocate for your child. I have worked with many families to help them understand why their child isn't having success at school. Please note that this service does not involve a 'diagnosis' as such. The assessments are used to identify gaps in learning that may be causing issues for the child).

QLD Kindergarten Programs, Childcare & Primary Schools (Independent and State):

PreLit and Literacy or Numeracy Intervention sessions - I am registered with QCT. Should you require a period of intervention for several children (up 4 students per grouping with similar needs), I may be able to negotiate some half-day casual teaching times to provide evidence-based intervention for these students.
