Primary School Children

Supporting children with learning disabilities, difficulties and other learning differences.

ABLES will firstly assess students to determine learning gaps, and develop a tailored intervention and tutoring plan to support individual learning needs. Evidence-based, multisensory teaching methods and customised, direct instruction are applied to meet individual learning needs. ABLES specialises in supporting neurodiverse students with and without learning difficulties and disabilities. Students can experience difficulties at school for a range of reasons including absenteeism due to illness, anxiety, trauma, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, autism and 2e students where giftedness is overshadowed by a disability. ABLES aims to work with families and individuals to support and model learning strategies.

Each learning session is uniquely tailored to meet the specific needs of the student in the areas of Literacy or Numeracy. The ABLES approach to learning is based on research and evidence, responsive to student needs, and is personalised by student assessment and growth throughout the intervention process. ABLES does not use a 'one size fits all' approach to learning as every child's needs are unique and often cannot be satisfied by a mass-produced program.
