In addition to working on project teams, I also enjoy developing my engineering skills through personal maker projects. Below are a few of my favorite creations in various mediums.
I designed and constructed this stand as a Christmas gift for my younger brother. The stand holds two Xbox controllers and also includes a back "hook" that can hold a gaming headset and/or help with cable management.
I cut the parts out of clear 1/8" and 0.25" acrylic sheet on a Glowforge Pro laser cutter/engraver. As a finishing touch, I engraved the Xbox logo onto the sides of the stand.
As an avid plant lover, I quickly ran out of elevated surfaces on which to place my plants in my college dorm room. This prompted the design and fabrication of a modular plant stand that combines elegance, durability, and functionality.
The frame is constructed from MIG welded 1"x1" steel square tube and the surfaces are 1/2" plywood and held on by wood screws going through the steel frame. When the plywood surfaces are detached, the frame splits into three modules for ease of transport.
