Do you remember that FIRST paycheck? Mine came from Pro-Sports Catering at the Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas!
I started as a food server. You wouldn't believe the strange questions and requests that I heard from customers. I learned tons about customer service and client relationships. Because I communicated well with the management team, we would effectively serve 100-250 clients per event.
Soon, I moved up to cashier. I completed sales transactions with customers including cash register and credit exchanges resulting in $5K - $12K stand sales per event.
Eventually, I became a stand manager. During busy events, I managed food service employees by assessing stand needs and by delegating responsibilities appropriately. My interest in the supply chain process began here! I carefully documented materials during inventory and supported revenue analysis so that our stand increased in efficiency. I noticed the connection between vendors, management teams and workers.
