a. The United States of America International Development (USAID) awarded the research grant. The award-granting institution was the Feed the Future Food Systems for Nutrition Innovation Lab at Tufts University. The grant amounts to 699,984 USD.
b. I was the Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) of the grant. As part of the project titled “Upgrading Value Chains of Nutrient-Dense Perishable Agricultural Commodities in Bangladesh: Technological Interventions and IT-Based Business Model Development to Reduce Postharvest and Nutrient Loss”, I prepared the entire project budget and conducted a cost-effectiveness analysis of the innovation bundles utilized. Additionally, I was responsible for preparing a comprehensive review report evaluating the economic sustainability of the co-created innovation bundles and the IT-based Lean management business model, with the goal of reducing post-harvest and nutritional losses across the value chains of fruits, vegetables, and fish.
As a Principal Investigator (PI) for a Spring 2024 project funded by Alabama State University ($4,000), I led the development of the entire proposal and budget for the study titled “Race & the Association Between Food Insecurity & Financial Liquidity Constraints.” The project leverages an online survey targeting individuals at Alabama State University to investigate how financial liquidity constraints influence food insecurity across different racial groups.
