The United States of America International Development (USAID) awarded the research grant. The award-granting institution was the Feed the Future Food Systems for Nutrition Innovation Lab at Tufts University. The grant amounts to 699,984 USD. I was the Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) of the grant. As part of the project titled “Upgrading Value Chains of Nutrient-Dense Perishable Agricultural Commodities in Bangladesh: Technological Interventions and IT-Based Business Model Development to Reduce Postharvest and Nutrient Loss”, I prepared the entire project budget and conducted a cost-effectiveness analysis of the innovation bundles utilized. Additionally, I was responsible for preparing a comprehensive review report evaluating the economic sustainability of the co-created innovation bundles and the IT-based Lean management business model, with the goal of reducing post-harvest and nutritional losses across the value chains of fruits, vegetables, and fish.
I received a faculty research grant as a Principal Investigator (PI) from Alabama State University for Spring 2024 ($4,000). I led the development of the entire proposal and budget for the study titled “Race & the Association Between Food Insecurity & Financial Liquidity Constraints.” The project leverages an online survey targeting individuals at Alabama State University to investigate how financial liquidity constraints influence food insecurity across different racial groups.
The grant is awarded by Texas Tech University and is worth $4,000. I was the Principal Investigator (PI) of the grant. The objective of the award is to promote the Master of Agribusiness Program through marketing and student enrollment activities. I, along with the Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI), ordered promotional items, including hats and water bottles, to enhance the program's visibility. We also ordered promotional vests for the faculty who teach the courses offered in the program to strengthen program identity.
