Week #4 - Journal

Ideation

Tell us about your assignment's idea for this week. Why do you care about this idea? What were you inspired by?

Main idea to build a simple electronic device that performs two actions at the same time.

i'm interested in motors and LED so i will try to power some.

Tool Chain

Which software/machines/materials did you use this week? Why?

I used TinkerCad to simulate my project, and to test it before doing it with the breadboard to make sure every thing is correct.

Design Process

Explain the design process of your assignment. How did you use the tool/software to design and/or simulate your assignment?

At first I add power supply when connected it with the switch then i connected it with breadboard, I add a resistor, the LED then the motor.

I also used the www.circuit-diagram.org website to draw my diagram and it was easy to use.

Fabrication/Implementation Process

Explain the fabrication/implementation process of your assignment. How did you use the machine/tool to manufacture or implement the design of your assignment?

At first I test the resistor with the maultimeter to make sure it's the right one i need, then I conected the ON/OFF switch with the power source, after that i test the LED on the breadboard and make sure it's work fine, I also tested the motor and ever thing went very well.

I started to cut out my foam palet to make covering for my little breadboard.

Community of Learning

Did you ask for feedback? What are the ideas that others have contributed or suggested? What was someone else’s idea that you built upon? How did you help your peers? How did your peers help you?

I got a reasonable feedback it's useless thing but funny to make :D

Overcoming Challenges

When you got stuck, what/who did you turn to? At what point did you have to pause to research or learn more before moving on? What are some mistakes, pitfalls, or challenges that others can avoid if they were doing this project?

At first the multimeter didn't give me any read for the resistor but i find out that i was on the 200M ohm and it was very huge for small resistor.

Final Project

How can you use the skills and knowledge that you've acquired this week in your final project?

the main idea of my project to run two motor I learned today how to run at least one of it :D

WOW!

What is the coolest thing that you've learned this week? What is something that you will never forget from this week?

I forget the multimeter ON but I find out if you left it like 5 min without using it will make "beb beb beb noise" to warn you to turn it off to save the battery.

Weekly Digest [OPTIONAL]

Tell us about any other cool things that you've made this week: Pre-activity, examples, exercises, or any mini-projects.
